The goal of chiropractic care is to help relieve pain and restore function in many areas of the body. Chiropractic treatment may consist of joint manipulation and mobilization, as well as soft tissue therapy, medical acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, nutritional and lifestyle advice. Common conditions I treat include: knee pain, low back pain, neck pain and headaches, shoulder pain, muscle sprains/strains and sports injuries.


Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists of applying fixed or movable pressure to relieve and alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, enhance physical performance and promote relaxation. Massage therapy consists of applying fixed or movable pressure to relieve and alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, enhance physical performance and promote relaxation. Massage Therapy is used to treat inflammatory conditions such as, arthritis and tendonitis; headaches and migraines; muscle spasms, sprains and strains; sport injuries, back and neck pain; circulatory and respiratory problems; pre and post-natal discomfort and can be used to assist in post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation. In addition, massage therapy gives us an opportunity enhance our emotional well-being by helping us pause our face paced lives and instead attune to the needs of our body.

Physiotherapy can be beneficial if you have an injury, or chronic pain that affects how you function everyday. A doctor may refer you to physiotherapy after surgery such as a hip replacement, or an event such as a heart attack or stroke.

Physiotherapists focus on both prevention and rehabilitation. Treatment can be for problems caused by injury, disease or disability. Some examples include joint and muscle pain, arthritis, pelvic issues, loss of mobility because of trauma to the brain or spine, or due to diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis and even pain, swelling, stiffness and loss of muscle strength, for example during cancer treatment, or palliative care.

Danette will assess your area of complaint and help design an individualized care plan to manage and treat it. Her treatment approach includes a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription e to ensure accurate diagnosis and a speedy recovery.

Sharon main goal as an RMT is ensuring that all her clients achieve symmetry and serenity by treating musculoskeletal pain and discomfort to help enhance their overall health and wellbeing.

Graduated from University of Toronto in 2013, Danette is a dedicated physiotherapist with a unique approach to treatment that aims to restore balance to the body. Rather than focusing on symptom relief alone, Danette delves deep into the intricate connections of the body, ensuring that each patient receives care tailored to their specific needs.

With a treatment philosophy rooted in holistic and gentle methods, Danette believes that true healing and restoration come from understanding and addressing the body as a cohesive unit. Using pain-free manual techniques, Danette taps into the power of the nervous system, working to elicit transformative changes to body posture and movement while emphasizing the body’s own innate ability to heal and recalibrate. Dr. Soncina started her academic career at the University of Toronto where she earned her Bachelor of Physical Health and Education Honours degree. Her interest in the mechanics of the human body lead her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she graduated with Clinical Honours.

In addition to her academic training, Dr. Soncina has completed certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART®), Medical Acupuncture, Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®) and is Bone Fit trained. Dr. Soncina volunteered as part of the medical team during the 2015 Pan Am Games and also volunteers with The Arthritis Society.

As a primary health care practitioner, she recognizes the importance of personalized care and is passionate about empowering patients and inspiring healthy changes. She is committed to providing evidence-based care and collaborating with other health care professionals to create a comprehensive plan of management and address patient goals.
